The Blue Angels Foundation www.blueangeslfoundation.org provides scholarships to dependents of all current and former Blue Angels. By Blue Angels we mean all Blue Angels, Officer, Enlisted, Navy and Marines. The BAF also provides direct support to the current team. As an example, when the budget did not allow the renovation of the Blue Angel Ready Room, the BAF came through and provided the neccesary funding. Below is an example of a recent scholarship awarded to the daughter of a Blue Angel who lost his life as a Blue.
A NOTE FROM COURTNEY
I would like to start out by thanking everyone from the association for giving me the opportunity of receiving the scholarship. The Blue Angels mean a lot to my family and I, and I appreciate everything that has been done. I plan on using my scholarship money to pay tuition at Troy University, in Troy AL. I am currently pursuing a degree in marketing. I am also a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, and am very active in community service. This week I am planning on helping with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, in Montgomery Al.
